Water Fueled Engines

The team of researchers who are members of the Association ofIndonesian Engineers (PATI) District, Banten Province has createdwater-fueled engine boat that could reduce the cost of the fishermenat sea.

"The machine was able to reduce gasoline usage by fishermen up to eighty percent," said Chairman of the Regional PATI Bantenprovince, Lili Romli, in his office at the Graha Telkom Serpong,Wednesday (03/28/2012).

He said the engine was named Eco Power Buster (EPB) are madeby young researchers, Paragraph Sudrajat from National University.

When the fishermen usually spend Rp 600 thousand per day to buyfuel oil needs, then the EPB machine expenditure can be reduced.

The process still requires the engine fuel. But in the process ofoperation, the engine capacity of 2 liters of fuel that can be turned on only by water.

Machine, according to Lili, worth approximately USD 1.8 million.PATI has been coordinated with the Agency to develop BantenProvince machines.

The ability of these energy-saving machines have passed testing bythe Ministry of Energy and BP Migas IPB laboratory tests.

"We are still awaiting a response from Banten Province Bappedarelated to the procurement of these machines the fishermen," he said.

Lili also added that it was ready to hold a 100 engine first stagewhen the government wants to support it.

"The fishermen in East Java are excited by the presence of thismachine. We expect to develop it, too, Banten province," he said.
